 As part of our efforts to gain the trust and empathy of stakeholders, which include efforts to fulfill our corporate social responsibility regarding such matters as legal compliance, corporate ethics, environmental and human rights problems, and social contributions, as well as the stable supply of safe and secure products and services, we recognize the importance of appropriately handling the important personal information entrusted to us and will promote the introduction of personal information protection compliance.
 To promote the introduction of personal information protection compliance, we have stipulated the following Personal Information Protection Policy and separate Rules Relating to the Protection of Personal Information. By thoroughly disseminating them among all directors and employees and instilling their compliance, we will aim to further enhance and permanently develop our corporate value in the field of personal information protection too.

1.Basic stance

 Regarding the handling of personal information, we will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws, ordinances, regulations, guidelines, etc.

2.Acquisition of personal information

 When we ask for personal information, we will notify users of the purpose and acquire personal information in a reasonable and fair manner.

3.Use of personal information

 We will not use entrusted personal information for any purpose other than that notified.

4.Secure management of personal information

 We will adopt necessary and appropriate secure management measures, including the establishment of Rules Relating to the Protection of Personal Information, to prevent the illegal access, loss, destruction, falsification, leakage, etc. of entrusted personal information.

5.Consignment of personal information

 We sometimes consign the handling and management of entrusted personal information to a third party. In such cases, we select third parties who meet criteria for the protection of personal information and conduct the necessary and appropriate management and monitoring of consignees.

6.Supply of personal data to third parties

 We will not supply any personal data that we possess to a third party without obtaining the prior consent of the person concerned.

7.Personal information protection setup

 We will appoint an officer responsible for personal information, conduct appropriate education for all directors and employees, and thoroughly comply with laws, regulations, and other norms.
 Furthermore, we will implement regular internal auditing of the state of compliance.

8.Review of the Personal Information Protection Policy and Rules Relating to the Protection of Personal Information

 We will continually review our Personal Information Protection Policy and Rules Relating to the Protection of Personal Information in the light of laws, regulations, management environment, etc.

9.Exceptional treatment

 Regardless of the above, in the following cases stipulated in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, we will handle entrusted personal information and personal data that we possess in accordance with laws and regulations under the supervision of the officer responsible for personal information:

  • Cases based on laws and regulations
  • Cases in which there is a need to protect human life, body, or assets and when it is difficult to obtain the principal’s consent
  • Cases in which there is a special need to enhance public hygiene or promote the fostering of healthy children and when it is difficult to obtain the principal’s consent
  • Cases in which there is a need to cooperate in regard to a central government organization or a local government, or a person entrusted by them performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and when there is a possibility that obtaining the principal’s consent would interfere with the performance of the said affairs

Disclosure of personal data possessed, etc.

 Requests for the disclosure of personal data possessed by Daito Cacao, corrections, termination of use, records of the provision of personal data to third parties, etc. should be submitted by the person concerned to the following inquiries and complaints processing contact:
