We introduce the initiatives of the Daito Cacao Group relating to the global environment.

Daito Cacao continues to conduct environment-friendly corporate activities so as to pass on our irreplaceable planet to the next generation.
Furthermore, as well as complying with environment-related laws and independent standards, we recognize the importance of efforts aimed at realizing a decarbonized society, a circular society, and a society in harmony with nature.

Therefore, in July 2020 we formulated the Daito Cacao Environmental Philosophy and Environmental Management Policy as our policy for contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

• Compliance with Environmental Legislation
  We will accurately understand and comply with the content of relevant environment-related laws, regulations, etc.
• Energy Saving and Reduction of CO2 Emissions
  We will strive for more efficient energy use in production processes, offices, etc. and promote the reduction of CO2 emissions.
• Reduction of Emitted Waste
  We will endeavor to reduce the amount of emitted industrial waste by curbing waste emissions, promoting resource recycling, etc. and thoroughly ensure proper processing. In addition, we will promote the effective use of food resources by reducing food waste and encouraging recycling, etc.
• Management of Water, Chemical Substances, Etc.
  We will endeavor to monitor the amount of water used, ensure effective use, and comply with wastewater quality standards. We will prevent the outbreak of environmental pollution by understanding the properties and state of chemical substances used in wastewater processes and properly managing pH.
• Promotion of Eco-Considerate Activities
  We will promote initiatives that are beneficial to the environment across all corporate activities, including efforts in collaboration with local communities and the sourcing of eco-considerate materials.
• Promotion of Green Sourcing
  We will proactively promote green sourcing, including office supplies.
• Implementation of Environmental Education
  We will implement environmental education in a planned manner and thoroughly disseminate the above among all employees.
• Information Disclosure
  We will summarize the content of our environmental initiatives and issue an annual Environmental Management Report.
